How do you Know Who Your True Friends Are? (According to a 9-Year Old)

At dinner this evening, my husband started telling me about a YouTube video he was watching on how to identify True Friends.

Before he could say more, my 9-year old daughter chimed in:

  • They don’t ask you for money all the time.

  • They ask to spend time with you.

  • They’re honest with you, like they’re not always bragging about themselves, what they’ve done, how rich they are.

  • They feel sorry when you’re sad.

  • They’re nice. They’re kind.

I thought she was pretty astute and my husband said some of those points actually made it into the video.

And then we talked about how to find friends and how to be True Friends. It’s on my list for podcast episodes to produce! ;)

What do you think makes for a true friend? How do you find friends, and how are you a True Friend?
